Concept
Ayla means the glow around a light, not the light itself. So we built the whole place out of circles and the soft glow they hold. A round eye of glass in the wall. An arched door. A dome of light in the ceiling. A curve of light over the bar. Wherever light lands in Ayla, it lands on a curve.

The Facade
Quietly Arabic, with no fuss. Gray-beige brick, off-white plaster, two columns, and palms out front. The wall curves back behind a glass-block screen, so the whole front feels soft instead of flat.

The Garden
A little front garden made of welded Corten steel, built up in steps. The planters grow taller as you reach the door and shorter as you move away, and the path curves through them, each curve edged in a different stone. Playful, warm, alive.
